50mm Xtratherm Thin-R PIR Insulation is a high performance rigid insulation board widely used for its thermal properties and versatile nature. Clad on either side by a gastight aluminum layer, the board comprises an environment friendly, CFC-free polyisocyanurate (PIR) core. 50mm Xtratherm PIR Insulation boards have a thermal conductivity value of just 0.022 W/mK, knocking other insulations (such as EPS, XPS, Mineral Wool) out of the park in terms of thermal performance. These Xtratherm PIR 50mm boards can be cut to fit in between studwork, laid under a screed floor, or installed between rafters in a pitched roof, making them among the most commonly used insulation products on the market.
